During an Instagram live in July, Gigi explained that she was keeping her pregnancy private because she felt her presence on social media should instead be used to bring further awareness to things like the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement.
"I've felt that it's not really something I need to share apart from with my family and friends," Gigi said at the time.
"I've been trying to document it well," she added. "And I will be sharing stuff like that in the future. I just am not rushed to do it. I feel like right now I just want to experience it, and I write in my journal a lot."
