Prominent San Antonio lawyer Thomas J. Henry anticipates Astroworld damages in billions - mySA

San Antonio-based attorney Thomas J. Henry is now representing 68 victims in a massive lawsuit against Travis Scott, Drake, Live Nation, and NRG stadium, after Scott's fatal Astroworld festival in Houston where eight people died and scores more were injured.

The Texas firm anticipates that number to increase, as more victims come forward with their stories.

"More and more injured victims are contacting my firm by the hour," says Thomas J. Henry in a press statement.

Henry believes potential damages for injuries and deaths could be astronomical.

"While we are all still working to understand the full scope of the Astroworld tragedy, I believe the damages suffered by its victims could total in the billions," Henrys says in the release.

There are still questions about the festival's crowd surge that instigated deadly incident. Earlier this week, Henry's firm announced they were representing their first Astroworld client who was severely injured during a crowd rush during Scott's set. The firm claims Travis Scott and Drake, who was brought on stage as a surprise guest during Scott's set, "incited the crowd."

Currently, at least eight people have died as a result of injuries sustained at Astroworld. Another 23 people were hospitalized, 11 people suffered cardiac arrest, and 300 were treated on site at the festival, according to the firm's announcement.

To assist with the investigation, the firm has brought on experts, including crowd security and crowd control experts Ron Martinelli and Stanley Kephart, who will help to explain how the festival cultivated an unsafe experience for attendees.

In a statement about the festival to the Daily Mail earlier this week, Henry stated:

"There is every indication that the performers, organizers, and venue were not only aware of the hectic crowd but also that injuries and potential deaths may have occurred. Still, they decided to put profits over their attendees and allowed the deadly show to go on," his statement reads.

"Live musical performances are meant to inspire catharsis, not tragedy," he adds in the statement. "Many of these concert-goers were looking forward to this event for months, and they deserved a safe environment in which to have fun and enjoy the evening. Instead, their night was one of fear, injury, and death."

Thomas J. Henry is currently offering immediate free case consultations to all Astroworld victims.
